Craft Room Progress: Gallery Wall

One of my very first posts on The How-To Gal, way back in 2009, was about a cute little bulletin board I made over. My tastes have changed a ton since those infamous pears, thank goodness, but that $3 bulletin board was the inspiration and starting point for my craft room's gallery wall. Almost everything on the gallery wall I crafted or upcycled in some way and I thought I'd share those projects with you today.

To create my frame display, I used the same process from the Spider Bow Holder to create a web of yarn.

Guess what, you can make a bulletin board out of anything. I happened to have an old shelf kickin' around, so I chose it to become my next project. Cover your shelf with a layer of cork, wrap your fabric around it and staple into place. Attach a wire hanging kit to the back to hang on the wall.

The perpetual calendar is from and the "Love is Spoken Here" art is by The Painted Arrow

Of course, this space is still a work in progress, but I'm happy everytime I look up at some of the things I've made. And, to me, that is the most important part of a space - to love being there.
