Simple, Easy Decor

My baby girl isn't a baby anymore and we recently upgraded her to a "big girl" bed. With the upgrade, her room needed new decor. If this experience has taught me anything, it's that my tastes and my daughter's tastes change frequently. Sticking to one type of decor for a long period of time won't cut it with us. Because of this realization, I've decided that when decorating my home, I need to find inexpensive ways to cater to my current tastes.

So here's what we did:
Above the bed, an empty frame painted baby blue, a wooden letter E (found on clearance at Ross) and playful paper pinwheels (tutorial HERE).

Framed Circle Mirror with pinwheels surrounding. White Hanging Rail below with all things dress-up!

Personal family pictures, her favorite books and stuffed animals, and brightly-colored bedding round out the room.

Other sources: mod podged side table, Eiffel tower lamp (garage sale), bedding (Target), lime green pillows (Ross).

Favorite books:

The simple, but fun, decor brings a smile to my face every time I enter the room. The toy mess that usually ensues in this room...not so much :)
