My Sister's Baby {boy} Shower!

I was privileged to host a baby shower for my little sister, Hailey. She is due to pop in the middle of September and to celebrate I invited friends and family to a little shindig at my house.

The giraffe image is from The Paper Nut.

The "Baby Food" table was filled with all things mini.

Mini donuts, mini tacos, tiny melon ball cups, mini cupcakes, shot glasses with veggie dip and tiny veggies, mini cookies, strawberries and small lemon-blueberry breads. The drink was a delicious pink limeade in mason jars and vintage paper straws.

The decor colors were blue, green, yellow and gray. I made the banner from the same fabric used on my chenille baby blanket and my painted tapestries.

Instead of games, I opted to have all of the guest design a special onesie, just for Hailey's little guy. I used onesies of all different sizes so she would have some for each stage of his life.

I was so impressed with what everyone came up with.

A close-up of my favorites:

Hailey was able to take home 13 one-of-a-kind onesies for her new baby. It never ceases to amaze me the talent and ingenuity that comes from a group of crafty women.

Love you Hailey, good luck with your little one!

  1. Love, love, love this idea. I've seen this done before, but with fabric paint. What materials did you use for these onesies? (It looks like fabric aplique?)

  2. Everything looks so great! (of course)

  3. Tricia, for the onesies we used freezer paper for stencils and fabric paint AND heat n bond with fabric shapes. I was so happy with how they all turned out!

  4. I am the very lucky sister! Loved this! Thank you so much!

  5. What a wonderful sister Haily has! I love it. Your house is perfect for entertaining (when the air-conditioning works ;)
