DIY Summer Dresses

Light, airy dresses just scream "summer!" to me. Stripes, bold colors and flirty tiers are my favorite trends this season. But adding summer dresses to your wardrobe shouldn't break the bank! Why not reinvent something you already own or scour your favorite thrift store for a dress to re-purpose?

Here are some of my favorite DIY tutorials from around the web to spice up your wardrobe and keep up with the trends in summer dresses.

Revamp an existing skirt into the ever-popular bubble hem with Love Maegan:
Tank top + Elastic+ Fabric= Elastic Empire Waist Dress
I love this one because you can make the skirt portion as long or as short as you want! Why not make it into a maxi dress with just another yard of fabric?

Pleated Dress from 80s Skirt
How many times have you passed by one of those long pleated skirts when rummaging through the selection at your local thrift store? I know I have!! Won't make that mistake next time :)

Now get out there and spice up your summer wardrobe with a beautiful summer dress or skirt!
