Romper to Flowy Top

I don't claim to be super fashion savvy, but I do know that these little short romper things going around do not look cute on anybody. Am I right?

At my last Target shopping spree, I happened upon one of these rompers and fell in love with the pattern. Why oh why did they have to be sewn into shorts, I wondered? They were on clearance for $5, so I took them home, snipped down the "shorts" seam so the bottom now opened up like a shirt would. Then I cut the hanging "shorts" pieces to match the swoop of the front and back. The bottom is so flowy, there was no need to turn under the cut pieces.

I'm really happy with how it turned out. Paired with a skinny jean and flats, I'm ready for date night with the hubby.

  1. How cute I love it!!! Can I be next??

  2. I love it too! Man, you are becoming quite the seamstress. I wouldn't even know where to begin to get rid of the shorts. Looks amazing, especially on you.
