Dining Room Dreaming

Am I the only one who is never satisfied when it comes to decorating my home? This is especially true when it comes to my dining room. I think the problem is that I'm unwilling to take decorating chances in this room.

But I would LOVE if I could break out of my cookie cutter decor style and make it look like these fabulous rooms designed by Andreea Avram Rusu:

  1. I love round tables. In my kitchen, I have a square table that has sides that come up making it round (like the ones in restaurants). When in round mode it can seat 9. In my dining room I have the typical round to oval table, and with 2 leaves it seats 8 max. That just doesn't make sense.

  2. Honestly I though the first pic was from hdtv or a catalog... you're on your way to belonging in a fancy magazine.
K, question for you- we are painting Daniel's bedroom (currently boring creamy white) to match his bedspread ( The bedding has so many bright colors, it was hard to find a color that wouldn't be overpowering, and we went with a grassy green. While we're happy with the color, I know we're going to need to do something on the walls (currently completely undecorated beyond a few paint splotches). So... kid's room, safari theme, bright colors, green walls, low budget... what does Anna Rose do?

  3. PS I can provide pics if you want, they're just not uploaded yet.

  4. A couple of suggestions for breaking out of the box? Ditch the beige and/or pick at least one piece of furniture/accessory/lamp/light/art that is over the top and different and you're on your way. But you know this since you're doing that in the other rooms. Just go with it :)
Btw, I've made a little something inspired by your toilet paper roll wall art that I'll be posting about soon - thanks for the inspiration :)

  5. I love your dining room. I think it looks classically chic.
