Techie Tuesday- Using Polls and Surveys

Using polls and surveys is a great way to find out what content your readers are looking for when they visit your blog or website. As an advertising major, we used surveys on a daily basis to get a feel for our target market. So, if you are just getting a business started or want to improve your business, finding out how your customers think is a very good idea.

How do you poll or survey customers? Easy!

Step One: Find a good online poll and survey service. We love Polldaddy.

But there are other companies out there: Survey Monkey, Constant Contact and Free Online Surveys just to name a few.

Look for a service that allows you to sign-up for free, have a direct link to the survey/poll OR the ability to embed it into your website and an easy-to-use interface.

Step Two: Create your poll/survey
Once you've setup an account with Polldaddy or any other free poll/survey service, they take you step-by-step through the process.

Step Three:
Distribute your poll/survey
Either embed your poll/survey's html code into the body of your blog or website, email a direct link to your customers or (in blogger) create a widget to insert the poll on your side bar.

All of this talking brings me to my main point! I want to know what YOU want me to talk about on "Techie Tuesdays." Do you have any burning techie questions for me to answer?
