DIY Tile Coasters

Saw this idea a few weeks ago and decided to redo some old coasters that I had on my coffee table. I followed these instructions with a few adjustments of my own:

What you need:

  • Old coasters to redo or ceramic tiles (easily found at Lowes, Home Depot, etc)
  • Paper napkins or scrapbook paper (I used a floral print, but see these from Style Me Pretty made with scrapbook paper)
  • Mod Podge
  • Sponge brush
  • Cork or felt (for the bottom if you use a ceramic tile)
  • Glue
  • Polyurethane (a must-have to make the tiles waterproof)
I used (from top left to right: scrapbook paper, napkin, napkin, napkin, napkin, fabric)

I also just put squares of felt on all of the corners to protect the table the coasters will sit on.
